Day 1 – Hometown / Vancouver / Beijing

You will start with a flight from your hometown by Air Canada or West Jet to Vancouver, and connect by Air China direct flight to Beijing. Start your worry-free vacation with the guidance of your Canadian tour escort from Vancouver.

Day 2 – Arriving Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, be greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. Relax or explore Beijing at your leisure.

Day 3 – Beijing

You will be exploring the heart of Beijing after breakfast. The trip starts from Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world – the square and its surrounding areas are home to some of China’s most historic monuments and government edifices. Then take a tour to the Forbidden Citythe largest existing ancient architectural complex in China. In the afternoon, you will visit Summer Palace – an enchanting panorama of lake, landscape, pagodas and pavilions. Day 4 – Beijing

Have an inspiring day tour to the world famous Great Wall (Juyong Pass), which winds dragon-like across northern China. Enjoy time to walk along its ramparts and absorb the breathtaking views. Day 5 – Beijing

Start the day with a visit to the beautiful Temple of Heaven. Then, take a Rickshaw Tour around the ancient alleyways of Beijing’s Hutong – one of Beijing’s 700-year-old traditional cottage neighborhoods. Visit a family in one of the “Quadrangles”. Day 6 – Beijing / Lhasa ( By Air )

You will visit Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s oldest and most holy spiritual centre located in the city core. Day 9 – Xigaze ~ Lhasa

The highlight of your full day exploration of Xigaze will begin a tour to Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the most exquisite in Tibet and the former seat of the Panchen Lama. Fabulous murals grace the inner walls of this elaborate temple complex – but the focal point is an enormous bronze Buddha, the largest in Tibet, which stands 86 feet high and contains over 600 pounds of pure gold. Day 13 – Xi’an

Day 16 – Yangtze River Cruise

Take a morning shore excursion at Sandouping takes you to “Three Gorges Dam”, the world’s biggest hydroelectric dam. Return to the ship and sail through the Three Gorges dam shiplocks and the first gorge – Xiling Gorge, the longest and historically the most hazardous one in the famous “Three Gorges”. Day 17 – Yangtze River Cruise

Begin your day with an excursion to Shennong Stream to see cascading waterfalls, steep cliffs, karst caves, three-colored springs, and an amazing array of fish, birds, and monkeys as they play near the water’s edge. Return to the ship and set sail through the second gorge – Wu Gorge, known for its odd, misty rock formations and its backdrop of soaring mountains. Later in the afternoon, you will pass the third gorge – Qutang Gorge, the shortest but the most dramatic of the Three Gorges with ancient relics scattered along its steep cliffs. ( B / L / D )

Day 18 – Yangtze River Cruise

Your excursion tour is Shibaozhai “Precious Stone Fortress”, a hill along the bank of the Yangtze River, with extremely steep sides and is about 200 meters (660 feet) tall. On the river side of the hill is a red pavilion of nine floors which leans against the side of the hill providing a walkway to the temple at the top of the hill. Day 19 – Chongqing / Shanghai ( By Air )
