Day 1 Hometown / Beijing
Begin your adventure with a flight to Beijing by Japan Airlines or Air Canada. Your Canadian tour escort is from
Vancouver.
Day 2 Arriving Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China. You will be greeted by your local guide and transferred to hotel. Relax
at your leisure. Hotel: Chang An Grand Hotel (5-star)
Day 3 Beijing
Explore the heart of Beijing starting from Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world and
surrounding areas are home to some of China’s most historic monuments and government edifices; the Forbidden
City - the largest existing ancient architectural complex in China; Summer Palace - an enchanting panorama
of lake, landscape, pagodas and pavilions. This evening, you will enjoy a special Peking Duck Dinner and a bus
tour to experience Beijing by Night (Donghua Gate Food Fair). (B/L/SD)
Day 4 Beijing
Have an inspiring day tour to the world famous Great Wall (Juyong Pass), which winds dragon-like across
northern China. Enjoy time to walk along its ramparts and absorb the breathtaking views. Afterwards, visit the
tomb of Emperor Yongle (Zhu Di) Changling - one of the Ming Tombs at the burial site of thirteen Ming Dynasty
Emperors. And have a close look at 2008 Beijing Olympic Stadium ( The Bird’s Nest & The Water Cube ). Evening
entertainment is a dazzling Beijing Acrobatic Show. (B/L/D)
Day 5 Beijing / Xi’an
Begin your day with a visit to the beautiful Temple of Heaven. Then take a Rickshaw Tour around the ancient
alleyways of Beijing’s Hutong - one of Beijing’s 700-year-old traditional cottage neighbourhoods. Visiting a family
in one of the “Quadrangles”, you will be treated to a Family Lunch at the home of one of local families! Enjoy
Xi’an Handmade Noodle Dinner while watching noodle-making show. A Xi’an Night Tour to Muslim Quarter

Day 6 Xi’an
Another unforgettable day touring the Museum that houses the most exciting archaeological discovery of the
20th Century - the excavation of more than 6,000 Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, the reproduction factory
on the way, and Shanxi Provincial Museum. Tonight enjoy a well-known Xi’an Special Dumpling Banquet while being entertained by the colourful Tang Dynasty Show. (B/L/SD)
Day 7 Xi’an / Wuhan
Visit the historic Ming Dynasty City Wall and Small Wild Goose Pagoda before taking a flight to Wuhan.

Day 8 Wuhan ~ Yichang ~ Yangtze River Cruise

Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise
After a brief introduction to the Cruise, a shore excursion at Sandouping takes you to “Three Gorges Dam”, the
biggest hydroelectric dam in the world. Return to the ship and sail through the Three Gorges Dam Shiplocks.
You will also pass the first gorge - Xiling Gorge, the longest and historically the most hazardous one in the famous
“Three Gorges”. Tonight, you have a Captain’s Welcome Party, followed by a Crew Cabaret Show. (B/L/D)
Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise
Begin your day with an excursion to Shennong Stream taking you almost 20 miles to see cascading waterfalls,
steep cliffs, karst caves, three-colored springs, and an amazing array of fish, birds, and monkeys as they play near
the water’s edge. Return to the ship and continue sailing through the second gorge, Wu Gorge - known for its
odd, misty rock formations and its backdrop of soaring mountains; and the third gorge, Qutang Gorge - the
shortest but the most dramatic of the Three Gorges with ancient relics scattered along its steep cliffs. Tonight you
have a spirited Crew Cabaret Show. (B/L/D)
Day 11 Yangtze River Cruise
Morning after arriving in Fengdu, a shore excursion to the “Ghost City” – known for its statures of ghosts and
devils on Mingshan Hill. Tonight’s entertainment is Captain’s Farewell Banquet. (B/L/SD)
Day 12 Chongqing
Disembark at Chongqing, a famous mountain city in China. Visit Chongqing Zoo seeing lovely Pandas and an
old preserved section of Chongqing in which you admire a famous architectural complex – Hu Guang Guild
House built in Qing Dynasty. Evening enjoy a Western Dinner and night tour to People’s Square for famous Square Dancing. (B/L/WD)

Day 13 Chongqing / Shanghai
Enjoy some free time in the mountain city before a flight to Shanghai - China’s most populous city and seaport.
